I have been cooking since..
Eric Hartling never knew a last minute placement in home economics and zucchini bread would lead to a career as a chef, but it did! As a kid in 6th grade the home economics was the last place he wanted to be, but things changed after the first class. Eric was hooked after seeing how everyone loved his zucchini bread. Years later, Eric's culinary career started in earnest as a chef in California, then Boston and finally Vermont. For 18 years Eric operated four successful restaurants in the Upper Valley and decided to take a chance to start a new chapter as the Chef at King Arthur Flour in Norwich, Vermont. Eric said, "Making the move to work at King Arthur Flour has been a very rewarding experience. On a daily basis I'm inspired by fellow employee owners, whether it's from the dedication to their craft and profession or their volunteering efforts with the community. I owe a special word of mention to the hard working culinary team at King Arthur Flour that includes Susan James, Darren Lidstrom and Gil Gilbert."
